Helping Disabled Adults Enhance Their Lives
Community Integration Day Program (Albuquerque and Rio Rancho)
Our day habilitation services offered to adults with disabilities assure that the individual is functioning to his/her best abilities in all major life areas. Services are driven by the individual service plan via offering each participant a meaningful day of significant services.
Some areas of focus may include assisting with self-help skills, communication, mobility, daily living skills, giving back to the community, socialization, community integration, and pre-vocational programs. All of these focal areas ensure the individual’s ability to experience a quality of life that is specific to the individual’s preference.

Literacy and Continued Learning
Our literacy and continued learning services offered to adults with disabilities consist of four units:
Individuals develop and manage their educational and career interests. The curriculum is designed to encourage students to learn independently, develop critical thinking skills, and participate in group activities.
Assessing the learning style of each individual, the instructor designs a program that is inclusive of ISP goals and a reflection of each person’s interests and personal concerns.
Career Discovery
As part of LifeROOTS’ implementation of “employment first,” career discovery provides an opportunity for adults with disabilities to discover and create personalized careers. The Process Requires Each Participant To Develop:
Making connections with the non-sheltered world allows the individual to assess a variety of available jobs as well as strategies needed to obtain employment in those jobs. Enhanced self-awareness and problem-solving create a space for each individual with a disability to grow as a mature adult, seeking
economic self-sufficiency.
A combination of day services and either literacy or career discovery is available to individuals as requested.
