Although the COVID-19 health emergency has continued to suspend face-to-face Early Intervention services, LifeROOTS has been providing young children and their families with the critical support needed to continue their development – and progress – through Telehealth. Our Early Intervention Telehealth program provides a convenient, and effective, way for children from birth to 3 continue to receive Early Intervention Services at this challenging time, helping young children continue their progress, stay on schedule – and stay on track – during COVID-19.

Since March, LifeROOTS has been working with families throughout the region to offer these critical Early Intervention services through Telehealth, providing:

  • Continuation of services in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Speech Therapy through Telehealth virtual visits
  • FIT approved process in place for starting services with new referrals
  • Important coaching for caregivers to support child’s development both now and in the future

All LifeROOTS Early Intervention Telehealth services are FREE to families.  In addition to providing Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Speech Therapy to families, our Parent Education Training, Love & Logic, Circles of Security and Parent/Child Educational Playgroups have all also been available via Telehealth, continuing to provide families with a safe way to benefit from these programs and services while adhering to social distancing protocols.

We are pleased that our Telehealth program has been able to help our LifeROOTS families at this difficult time, and continue to encourage families to take advantage of these free services from the convenience of their homes at this time.  For more information about LifeROOTS Telehealth Early Intervention Services, or to discuss potential referrals or program information, click here.
